Heathrow Women's Club receives Business of the Year Award

Heathrow Women's Club Charities was honored with the Small Non-Profit of the Year Award during the Seminole Business Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce, on August 22, 2017. Nearly 400 people attended the luncheon/award ceremony with over 80 businesses vying for awards. The selection process was a tough one with a dozen chamber professionals from around the country spending weeks reading through all the nominations. The members of Heathrow Women's Club Charities are elated to have been chosen to be honored for their dedication and generous contributions.

Patti Neveleff, President of Heathrow Women's Club Charities, and Ellen Yeaser, member, received the prestigious award on behalf of the club. "It is such an honor for the Heathrow Women's Club Charities to be chosen as the Small Non-Profit of the Year by its national peers. It certainly validates the 30 year mission of HWCC and its hard working membership to stay connected with our community and improve the quality of life for those in need," says President Neveleff.

Heathrow Women's Club Charities is an all-volunteer 501 (c)3 organization which has been dedicated to charitable fundraising for the benefit of women and children for the past 30 years, raising over $1.5 million to help those in need, as well as, donating other services to better our community. Currently, HWCC supports the following charities: SafeHouse of Seminole; Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, West Sanford Branch; and Seminole County Friends of Abused Children. (100% of all funds raised by HWCC are contributed to the charities.)
